What appeared to be a dream is now an outstanding reality: SPANNABIS, celebrating its eight anniversary is consolidated as the most important Spanish cannabic event of the year, hand in hand with the Expocannabis fair in Madrid.
Being a pioneer is always risky and it can easily become a fight. We are proud to see that we have helped to open this young but promising market, contributing to our efforts to help build a strong cannabic scene in Spain. We at SPANNABIS believe in the multiple qualities of hemp, in all of its applications, and will always fight for its normalization. Thank you all for supporting us... Together we can build a hemp industry the world deserves.

The Greatest Cannabis Fair in the World

 And so for a few days Barcelona will become the Cannabis Capital of the world thanks to the 8th annual celebration of Spannabis, from the 25th to 27th of Febuary 2011.
Cornellá’s convention center will once again host what has become the world’s largest fair in the hemp sector. With a little over 8,000 m2 and over 150 exhibitioners, you can see and try a wide range of products, ranging from industrial hemp to materials for cultivating, various parafenalia and of course the world’s best known seed banks. We will also be in the presence of associations and various professionals of the cannabis world, making Spannabis an excellent place to meet people and network.
Additionally we look forward to celebrating another year of the Cannabis Champions Cup, by far the most aromatic award out there despite all attempts to tarnish its image.
This time around we hope to surpass the high records of attendence last year, which reached over 18,000 people in a three day period. DJ’s with all the best music and people in costumes parading through the isles will be present to add an extra element to the atmosphere.
We look forward to seeing all of you at what will be the Greatest Cannabis Event in the World. |

¿What to do in Barcelona?
Hemp Information.
First of all, we'd like to make it clear that "hemp" or cannabis is not the same thing as marijuana. Cannabis/hemp is the fiber that obtained from a plant known as Cannabis Sativa L. It is possible to get male samples from this plant which provide fiber but contain very low amounts of THC, the psychoactive chemical in marijuana which gives the plant its stimulating and healing affects.
The plant from which one obtains the fiber also has the typical leaf known internationally as the "marijuana leaf." This is why you will commonly find the leaf used on some of the products manufactured from hemp. The symbol of the leaf is a reference to the raw material from which the product is manufactured.
